12.16.010 - Findings.

The council finds:

A. There is no door-to-door mail delivery in the city;

B. Certain persons within the city are required, in order to obtain mail delivery from the U.S. Postal Service, to maintain a freestanding mail box in front of their residences or places of business;

C. It is unsafe to have mail boxes erected and maintained in any public right-of-way, including any sidewalk.

12.16.020 - Location on traveled part of right-of-way.

It is unlawful and a misdemeanor to construct, erect or maintain any depository for the delivery of mail to any residential dwelling or business establishment (including any public facility) in or on any traveled portion of a public right-of-way, including any sidewalk.
