5.48.010 - License required—Exemptions.

In the exercise of the police powers of the city and for the purpose of revenue, every person, firm or corporation conducting and carrying on any business in the city for making any deliveries in the city in connection with any business conducted elsewhere in this state, employing vehicles, automobiles or motor vehicles in connection with such business or delivery, shall be licensed and the license fee shall be set from time to time by resolution of the city council; provided, however, this chapter shall not apply to any person, firm or delivery already holding a license for the conducting of a business in the city, or owning or using such vehicle in connection with agricultural land owned by such person, firm or corporation.

5.48.020 - Violation—Misdemeanor.

Carrying on a truck delivery business within the city limits without the required truck license is a misdemeanor which subjects the violator to a fine of not more than one thousand dollars or up to six months imprisonment in county jail, or both such fine and imprisonment.
