5.60.170: CERTIFICATE POSSESSION REQUIRED:¶
Every solicitor, peddler, or itinerant salesman at all times while engaged in peddling or soliciting shall have in his immediate possession the certificate of registration issued to him under the provisions of article III of this chapter and when so peddling or soliciting shall display the same upon demand of any police officer of the city and upon demand of any person. (Prior code § 41305:1)
5.60.180: HOURS OF OPERATION:¶
It is unlawful for any solicitor, peddler or itinerant salesman to peddle or solicit before the hour of eight o'clock (8:00) A.M. of any day, or after the hour of six o'clock (6:00) P.M. of any day; provided, that he may peddle or solicit at other hours if in answer to a specific appointment previously made. (Prior code § 41305:2)
5.60.190: CHIEF OF POLICE DUTY TO ENFORCE:¶
The chief of police is directed to carry into effect the provisions of this chapter. (Prior code § 41305:3)
5.60.200: USE OF CERTIFICATE BY ANOTHER PERSON UNLAWFUL:¶
It is unlawful for any solicitor, peddler or itinerant salesman to transfer, loan or permit the use by any other person of a certificate of registration issued under provisions of this chapter. (Prior code § 41305:4)
5.60.210: DEFENSES:¶
Nothing in this chapter shall prevent a criminal prosecution for any violation of the provisions of this chapter nor shall any legal action taken under the provisions of this chapter prevent or preclude the collection of any fees or taxes due under any other division, chapter, or article of this code. (Prior code § 41305:5)
