8300 - Adoption.

That mechanical code known as the California Mechanical Code, 2025 Edition ("CMC"), as published in Title 24, Part 4 of the California Code of Regulations, the purpose and subject matter of which, among other things, is to protect public health and safety by providing requirements for the installation and maintenance of heating, ventilating, cooling, and refrigeration systems, as adopted by the State of California, is adopted and enacted as the primary mechanical code of the City and made part of these Building Regulations by reference, with the same force and effect as if fully set forth herein.

At least one (1) copy of this Code has been deposited in the office of the City Clerk, and must be at all times maintained by the City Clerk for use and examination by the public.

8301 - Fees.

All references in the California Mechanical Code to fees, fee schedules, or fee tables shall mean the fee schedules as established by Resolution of the City Council in accordance with Section 8012 herein.

8303 - Section CMC 111—Violations.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish, equip, use, occupy or maintain any building or structure or cause or permit the same to be done in violation of this Code. Violations and violation penalties are subject to Sections 1100 and 1102 of the Port Hueneme Municipal Code.
