Sec. 2-3.01. - Plumas Judicial District.

There is hereby created one judicial district in the County to be known as the Plumas Judicial District, the boundaries of which are described in Section 23132 of the Government Code of the State.

Sec. 2-3.02. - Justice Court Judge.

There shall be one Justice Court Judge in the Plumas Judicial District. Pursuant to Section 68083 of the Government Code of the State, the Justice Court Judge designated shall be compensated as a full-time Justice Court Judge and shall not practice law in any court.

Sec. 2-3.03. - Sessions of the Justice Court.

The sessions of the Justice Court for the Plumas Judicial District shall be held within the District in Portola, Quincy, Greenville, and Chester to insure the continued availability of the court for the convenience of the residents of each component of the District, according to a schedule which may be amended from time to time.

Sec. 2-3.04. - Justice Court Judge's mileage.

For the purpose of determining mileage for the Justice Court Judge, his office shall be located at the County Courthouse, Quincy, California.

Sec. 2-3.05. - Duties of Constable to be performed by the Sheriff.

The office of Constable for the Plumas Judicial District is abolished, and the duties of Constable shall be performed by the Sheriff, pursuant to Section 71603.3 of the Government Code of the State and pursuant to Measure B approved by the voters on November 4, 1986.
