Pinole Municipal Code Ch. 15.44 Trailer Parks

This chapter declares a policy of the city that no trailer coach, tent or tenthouse for human occupancy, or any trailer court, shall exist upon real property in the city for the reason that there is no real property available for such purpose. (Ord. 410 § 1(part), 1981).

It is unlawful for any person to use, occupy or maintain any trailer coach, tent or tenthouse for human occupation upon any area, lot or tract of land in the city, except as provided in this chapter. (Ord. 410 § 1(part), 1981).

A. The director of public services may issue a permit for the occupation of a trailer coach, tent or tenthouse within the city, for a period of not to exceed six months under the terms and conditions set forth in this chapter. He or she shall receive and collect a fee for such permit in the amount of fifty dollars.

B. This permit may be issued for the occupation of a trailer coach, tent or tenthouse upon a tract of land for temporary occupation only during the construction, in good faith, of a residence upon the same tract of land. (Ord. 410 § 1(part), 1981).

Every trailer coach, tent or tenthouse maintained in violation of this chapter is a public nuisance; and the City Attorney shall, upon order of the City Council , take such proceedings as are necessary to abate the nuisance. (Ord. 410 § 1(part), 1981).

Every violation of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed three hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not to exceed six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. (Ord. 410 § 1(part), 1981).
