Perris Municipal Code Ch. 7.09 Charge Rate for Fire Services

A charge shall be made to each business occupancy of a residential building, developer of a building or business, commercial or industrial user of a building, on the following basis and rates:

(1) Fire engineering.

1. Plan checks, each building .....$100.00

2. Site inspection ..... 25.00

3. Major industrial projects, research reports ..... 100.00

4. New protection systems plan checks and inspections ..... 100.00

5. "Hood-duct" system plan check and inspection ..... 50.00

6. Each follow-up inspection for noncompliance ..... 25.00

(2) Fire safety inspections (licensed care) required by state. .....

a. First inspections (new license): .....

1. Six or less persons ..... 50.00

2. Six or more persons ..... 100.00

b. Inspection for change in license ..... 50.00

c. Annual inspection (no change in occupancy) ..... 25.00

d. Follow-up inspection for noncompliance ..... 10.00

(3) Annual fire safety inspections for commercial and industrial. .....

a. Each building, occupancy, or place of public assembly: .....

1. Up to 2,499 square feet ..... 10.00

2. 2,500 to 4,999 square feet ..... 25.00

3. 5,000 square feet or more ..... 50.00

b. Manufacturing ..... 50.00

2. 5,000 square feet or more ..... 50.00

d. Restaurants and bakeries ..... 30.00

e. Hotels, motels, apartments: $25.00 per story plus $1.00 per unit.

f. Mobilehome/RV parks; incidental use areas: $25.00 plus $1.00 for each site which exceeds 20.

g. Each follow-up inspection for noncompliance ..... 10.00

(4) Miscellaneous. .....

a. Each fuel tank installation use or permit, and inspections ..... 25.00

b. Water system flow test: $25.00 per hydrant.

c. Special inspections (access, clearance, housekeeping, etc.) ..... 20.00

(5) New construction; building permits. Per square foot ..... 0.10

(6) Medical aid fee. Per response per person ..... 25.00

The charges and fee schedule set forth may be amended by resolution of the city council.
