Chapter 16.17 — ENFORCEMENT, PENALTIES, AND LEGAL PROCEDURE

16.17.010 - Scope of provisions.

All departments and employees of the town vested with the duty or authority to issue permits or licenses shall conform to the provisions of this title and shall issue no permit or license for uses, buildings, or

purposes in conflict with the provisions of this title; and any such permit or license issued in conflict with the provisions of this title shall be null and void. (Ord. 203 §2(part), 1990)

16.17.020 - Investigations of violations.

All alleged violations of this title shall be investigated by the engineering department. The engineering department will then complete a written report and distribute it to the town attorney and town manager within seven days of the ending of the investigation. The engineering department shall also inform the owner and occupant of the site on which the violation is alleged to have occurred or to be occurring of its findings within seven days of the ending of the investigation. If the report indicates that a violation does exist, the engineering department shall commence action to prosecute the violator(s) and to abate the violations. 16.17.030 - Penalties.

Any person, firm, or corporation, whether as principal, agent, or employee violating or causing the violation of any of the provisions of this title, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Such person, firm, or corporation shall be deemed to be guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of which any violation of this title is committed or continued by such person, firm, or corporation.
