Orange Cove Municipal Code Ch. 8.16 Food Handlers

The physician shall sign a health certificate on forms approved by the council for all persons the examinations of whom clearly shows that said persons are not afflicted with any infectious, contagious or communicable disease and that the handling of foods by the persons is not detrimental to the public health of city residents. All health certificates granted hereunder shall expire on the thirty-first day of December following issuance thereof; provided, however, that any health certificate may be in effect for the full calendar year following, when the certificate so issued was not granted until the last three months of the calendar year of its issuance. A valid health certificate issued in accordance with this chapter shall be prominently displayed in every establishment for each and every person working therein who is subject to the provisions of this chapter.
