Article 1 — JUDICIAL DISTRICTS

Editor's note— Ord. No. 98-16, § 1, adopted December 8, 1998, amended the Code by repealing § 1-5-1 in its entirety. Former § 1-5-1 pertained to the division of the County into judicial districts, and derived from the Code of 1961, § 15.011.

The County of Orange is hereby divided into five (5) judicial districts, the names of which are as follows:

Central Orange County Judicial District,

North Orange County Judicial District,

West Orange County Judicial District,

Orange County Harbor Judicial District and South Orange County Judicial District.

Beginning at the intersection of the Easterly boundary line of the City of Irvine with the center line of the San Diego Freeway;

Thence Southeasterly, along said center line to the Southeasterly line of the Irvine's Subdivision;

Thence Northeasterly, along said Southeasterly line to the Southerly boundary line of sheet "D" of the Modjeska Home Tract;

Thence in a general Southeasterly direction one and one-fourth miles, along said Southerly boundary line of Modjeska Home Tract, to the Easterly line of Lot 8 of the Rancho Canada de Los Alisos;

Thence Northeasterly 1320 feet, along said Easterly line, to the Northeasterly boundary line of said Rancho Canada de Los Alisos;

Thence Southeasterly 700 feet, along said Northeasterly boundary line, to the North line of Section 32, Township 5 South, Range 7 West;

Thence Easterly one and one-half miles, along the North line of Sections 32 and 33, to the Northeast corner of said Section 33;

Thence South one mile, along the East line of said Section 33, to the Southeast corner of said Section 33;

Thence East three miles, along the South line of said Township 5 South, to the Northeast corner of Lot 1 of Section 1, Township 6 South, Range 7 West;

Thence South nine hundred ninety feet, along the East line of said Lot 1, to the Northwest corner of Lot 7 of fractional Section 6, Township 6 South, Range 6 West;

Thence East six and one-quarter miles, along the North line of said Township 6 South, to the Northeasterly boundary line of the County of Orange;

Thence Northwesterly, along said Northeasterly boundary line of the County of Orange, to the center line of the Santa Ana River;

Thence in a general Southwesterly direction, following along said center line, to the boundary line of the City of Anaheim;

Thence in a general Easterly, Southeasterly and Westerly direction, following along said boundary line of the City of Anaheim, to the Northerly boundary line of the City of Orange, being a point in the East line of Section 9, Township 4 South, Range 9 West;

Thence in a general Northwesterly direction, following along said Northerly boundary line of the City of Orange, to the Northwesterly line of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana;

Thence Southwesterly, along said Rancho line, to the Westerly line of the Olive-West Orange Protection District;

Thence Southerly, along said Westerly line of the Olive-West Orange Protection District, to a point in the Westerly boundary line of the City of Orange, said point being on the Easterly prolongation of the Southerly line of Lot 2 of Tract No. 71, per map recorded in Book 10, page 22, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County;

Thence Westerly and Southerly, along said Westerly boundary line of the City of Orange, to the South right- of-way line of Garden Grove Boulevard, being a point in the Southerly boundary line of the City of Orange;

Thence Easterly, along said southerly boundary line, to an angle point in the Westerly boundary line of the City of Santa Ana;

Thence in a general Southwesterly, Westerly and Southerly direction, following along said Westerly boundary line of the City of Santa Ana, to the Northerly boundary line of the City of Fountain Valley;

Thence in a general Easterly direction, following along said Northerly boundary line of the City of Fountain Valley, to the Northeast corner of said city;

Thence in a general Southerly and Southwesterly direction, following along the Easterly boundary line of said City of Fountain Valley, to a line parallel with and 30 feet Northerly from the center line of Talbert Avenue;

Thence Easterly, along said parallel line, to the Northwest corner of the City of Costa Mesa;

Thence in a general Easterly direction, following along the Northerly boundary line of the City of Costa Mesa, to the Northeast corner of said city, being a point in a line parallel with and 33 feet Easterly from the center line of Main Street;

Thence Southerly, along said parallel line and its Southerly prolongation, to a line parallel with and 30 feet Southeasterly from the Northwesterly line of Irvine's Subdivision, being a point in the Southeasterly boundary line of the City of Santa Ana;

Thence Northeasterly, along said parallel line and Southeasterly boundary line, to the Northeasterly line of Block 8 of said Irvine's Subdivision and an angle point in said Southeasterly boundary line;

Thence Southeasterly, along said Northeasterly line of Block 8 and Southeasterly boundary line, to the boundary line of the City of Irvine;

Thence in a general Northeasterly, Southeasterly and Southwesterly direction, following along said boundary line of the City of Irvine, to the center line of the San Diego Freeway and the point of beginning.

Thence Southerly and Southwesterly 7 miles, following along the Westerly boundary line of said County of Orange, to the most Westerly corner of the boundary line of the City of La Palma;

Thence in a general Southeasterly, Northerly and Easterly direction following along the Southerly boundary line of said City of La Palma to a point in the Northerly boundary line of the City of Cypress, said point being on the centerline of Crescent Avenue distant 630.51 feet Easterly of the center of Section 9, Township 4 South, Range 11 West;

Thence in a general Northeasterly and Southeasterly direction, following along said Northerly and Easterly boundary line of the City of Cypress to an angle point in the Westerly boundary line of the City of Stanton, said angle point being on the North right-of-way line of Cerritos Avenue (60 feet wide) distant 334 feet, more or less, Westerly of the East line of Section 22, said Township and Range;

Thence in a general Northeasterly and Southeasterly direction, following along said Westerly boundary line and along the Northerly and Easterly boundary lines of said City of Stanton, to an angle point in the Northerly boundary line of the City of Garden Grove, said angle point being the Northeast corner of Tract No. 2283, as shown on a map recorded Book 68, pages 23 and 24, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California;

Thence in a general Southerly and Easterly direction, following along said Northerly boundary line of the City of Garden Grove, to an angle point in the Westerly boundary line of the City of Orange, said angle point being the Northwest corner of Tract No. 2470, as shown on a map recorded in Book 70, pages 6, 7 and 8, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California;

Thence in a general Easterly direction, following along said Westerly boundary line, to an angle point in the boundary line of the City of Anaheim, said angle point being in the Westerly line of the Olive-West Orange Protection District;

Thence Northerly, along said Westerly line of the Olive-West Orange Protection District, to the Northwesterly line of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana;

Thence Northeasterly, along said Rancho line to the Northerly boundary line of the City of Orange;

Thence in a general Southeasterly direction, following along said Northerly boundary line, to the East line of Section 9, Township 4 South, Range 9 West, being a point in the boundary line of the City of Anaheim;

Thence in a general Easterly, Northwesterly and Westerly direction, following along said boundary line of the City of Anaheim, to the centerline of the Santa Ana River;

Thence Southerly, along said parallel line and its Southerly prolongation to a line parallel with and 30 feet Southeasterly from the Northwesterly line of Irvine's Subdivision, being a point in the Southeasterly boundary line of the City of Santa Ana;
