Sec. 6-8.800. Purpose and policy.

The purpose of this chapter is to set forth requirements and procedures for the design, construction, monitoring, inspection, and maintenance of potable water facilities, and enable the City to comply with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Sec. 6-8.801. Objectives.

The objectives of this chapter are:

(a) To establish the City’s rights and responsibilities regarding design, construction, inspection, operation, and maintenance of potable water facilities.

(b) To establish roles and responsibilities of applicant, developer, contractor, and customer regarding design, construction, monitoring, inspection, and maintenance of potable water facilities.

Sec. 6-8.802. Severability.

If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this chapter establishing rules and regulations for the use of potable water is for any reason found to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the remaining portions of this chapter.
