Reservation of Allotments for Future Years

§ 10-11.201. Development allotments: Setting: Review.

Commercial development allotments shall be limited as set forth herein to allow a total increase per year of not less than 1.2 (½) percent of the base year population (estimated January 1, 1989) of 8,000 persons and not greater than 2% of the base year population at the rate of 18.75 square feet of office development per capita

and 31.25 square feet of retail commercial development per capita. In order to accomplish this, the construction of office and retail commercial development in the City shall be within the range shown on Exhibit A attached to the ordinance codified in this chapter, which by this reference is made a part of this chapter as though fully set forth in this section, provided that each year's allotment is to be distributed proportionately among the two semiannual application periods.

Actual construction, including commercial development exempt from development control, shall be reviewed after the first two years of this commercial growth management plan, and allotments for future years may be adjusted by amendments to this chapter.
