§ 18-7. Use of off-street parking lots. [Amended 6-2-2025 by Ord. No. 1291]

When authorized signs are in place, giving notice thereof, no person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle on the following described off-street parking lots between the designated hours on any day for longer than the prescribed period. The off-street parking lots to which this section shall apply are as follows:

  • (a) The lot on North Third Avenue located predominantly on Assessor's Parcel No. 130-003-059.

  • (b) The lot on North Third Avenue located predominantly on Assessor's Parcel Nos. 130-003-051 and 130-003-052.

  • (c) The lot on North Third Avenue located predominantly on Assessor's Parcel No. 130-003-043.

  • (d) The lot on East E Street located predominantly on Assessor's Parcel No. 130-003-005.

  • (e) The lot on East E Street located predominantly on Assessor's Parcel No. 130-003-053.

  • (f) The lot on North Second Avenue located predominantly on Assessor's Parcel Nos. 130-003-034 and 130-003-035.

  • (g) The lot on Yosemite Avenue located predominantly on Assessor's Parcel No. 129-003-060.

  • (h) The lot on South First Avenue located predominantly on Assessor's Parcel No. 130-009-044.

  • (i) The lot on East G Street located predominantly on Assessor's Parcel No. 129-004-061.

  • (j) The lot on South Sierra Avenue located predominantly on Assessor's Parcel No. 129-003-028.

  • (k) The lot on South Sierra Avenue located predominantly on the southeastern portion of Assessor's Parcel No. 129-004-071.

§ 18-7.1. Electric Vehicle Charging Stations. [Amended 6-2-2025 by Ord. No. 1291]

  • (a) The words and phrases used in this chapter shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this chapter:

"Charging" — shall mean an electric vehicle parked at an electric vehicle charging station that is electrically connected to the charging station equipment.

"Electric Vehicle (EV)" — shall be defined as any motor vehicle registered to operate on California public roadways and operates either partially or exclusively on electrical energy from the grid, or an off-board source, that is stored on-board for motive purpose. "Electric vehicle" includes:

  • (1) A battery electric vehicle (BEV);

  • (2) A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV);

  • (3)

    • A neighborhood electric vehicle (NEV);

  • (4)

  • An electric motorcycle.

"Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS)" — shall mean a public parking space that is served by battery charging station equipment that has as its primary purpose the transfer of electric energy (by conductive or inductive means) to a battery or other energy storage device in a plug-in electric vehicle.

  • (b) Each electric vehicle parking stall will be clearly marked with signage. When so marked, it is unlawful to park in a designated electric vehicle charging station parking stall unless the vehicle is actively charging.
