5.12.010 - Unauthorized entry on private property—Nuisance.¶
The practice of going in and upon private residences in the city by solicitors, peddler, hawkers, itinerant merchants and transient vendors of merchandise, not having been requested or invited to do so by the owner or owners, occupant or occupants, of said private residences, for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares and merchandise, and/or for the purpose of disposing of and/or hawking the same, is declared to be a nuisance and punishable as such nuisance as a misdemeanor.

5.12.020 - Violation—Penalty.¶
Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the Nevada County Jail for a period not exceeding thirty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
