15.04.010 Intent.¶
It is the intention of the city council that the State Housing Act, as the same exists as of the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter or thereafter amended, set forth at Section 17910 et seq. of the Health and Safety Code of the state of California, shall be and it is the controlling legislation in accordance with its terms and provisions within the city limits. 15.04.020 Applicability.¶
The State Housing Act, as described in Section 15.04.010, as it exists as of the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter or as it may thereafter be amended, shall apply to all structures, without limitation of any kind whatsoever, and wherein the State Housing Act is restricted by its terms to certain buildings or types of buildings, it shall be deemed amended to provide by its terms and apply to all structures within the city. 15.04.030 Enforcement officer.¶
The city having, before the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, contracted with the county of Siskiyou for the use of the services of the health officer of the county of Siskiyou within the city, the health officer of the county, or his duly authorized representative or representatives, be and are appointed as the officer or department charged with the enforcement of the provisions of the State Housing Act described in Section 15.04.010. The enforcement officer will require that all construction inspection have an engineering review of plans to certify that the expansive nature of soils in the region will not affect the foundation integrity.
