13.25.010 - Definitions.¶
As used in this chapter:
A. "Mono Lake" means the surface water area of that certain lake located entirely within Mono County known as "Mono Lake."
B. "Legal owner," "motorboat," "owner," "operator," "person," "registered owner," "undocumented vessel," and "vessel," are defined as set forth in Section 651 of the Harbors and Navigation Code.
C. "Special use area" means a portion of Mono Lake set aside for specified uses or activities to the exclusion of other incompatible uses or activities.
D. "Closure" means entry by vessels is prohibited except in emergency situations where life or property are in danger, or except by governmental officials acting in their official capacities.

13.25.015 - Negit Island and Paoha Island special use area.¶
No person shall operate any vessel within the Negit Island and Paoha Island special use area from April 1st to August 1st in any year. This special use area closure includes all Mono Lake waters within one mile of Negit and Paoha Islands and includes all or portions of Sections 13, 14, 23, 25, 36 of T2N, R 26E; Sections 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 of T2N, R 27E; Section 1 of T 1N, R 26E; Sections 5 and 6 of T 1N, R 27E, M.D.M.

13.25.020 - South Tufa Islands special use area.¶
No person shall operate any vessel within the South Tufa Island special use area from April 1st to August 1st of any year. This special use closure includes all Mono Lake waters within one-quarter mile of the Tufa Islands in the northeast quadrant of Section 17 of T 1N, R 27E.

13.25.030 - Enforcement of Sections 13.25.015 and 13.25.020.¶
Sections 13.25.015 and 13.25.020 of this chapter shall be enforced as prescribed by Section 664 of the Harbors and Navigation Code.
