13.16.010 - Marquee—Term includes attachments.

For the purposes of this chapter, a marquee includes any object or decoration attached to or made a part of the marquee.

13.16.020 - Marquee—Defined.

"Marquee" includes, but is not limited to, any porch, roof extension or other object which shall extend over or across a sidewalk area when the sidewalk area is on the right-of-way of state or county highway.

13.16.030 - Projection and clearance.

A. The horizontal clearance between a marquee and the curb line shall be not less than two feet.

B. A marquee projecting more than two-thirds of the distance from the property line to the curb line shall be not less than twelve feet above the ground or pavement below.

C. A marquee projecting less than two-thirds of the distance from the property line to the curb line shall be not less than eight feet above the ground or pavement below.

13.16.040 - Marquee—Construction.

A marquee shall be supported entirely from the building and constructed as specified in any current edition of the Uniform Building Code at the time of the construction.

13.16.050 - Violation a misdemeanor.

Any person or persons violating the provisions of this chapter are guilty of a misdemeanor and are subject to suit by and on behalf of the county for removal thereof.
