Chapter 11.40 — WEIGHT LIMIT ON BRIDGES

Whenever the board of supervisors determines upon the basis of an engineering investigation that the structure of a bridge on a street or road is such that it is unsafe for vehicles over a certain weight to use such bridge, the board of supervisors shall by resolution direct the county public works department to place signs at both entrances to the bridge specifying the maximum gross weight of any vehicle or combination of vehicles which shall be permitted to cross such bridge.
