Chapter 11.25 — SEASONAL OVERNIGHT PARKING RESTRICTIONS

11.25.010 - Definitions.¶
"Emergency purposes" shall include, but not be limited to, vehicle breakdown.
"Overnight parking" shall mean parking at the prohibited area continuously from the hour of twelve a.m. until the hour of six a.m.

11.25.020 - Prohibitions.¶
Overnight parking excluding parking for emergency purposes, shall be prohibited in the following areas from November 20th until April 20th.
A.
The northern turnout along the east side of State Highway 395 at the area commonly known as "Smokey Bear Flat." Such turnout runs for approximately one-quarter of a mile (one thousand three hundred twenty feet) and is located between post mile 29.0 and post mile 29.25.

11.25.030 - Signs.¶
Signs shall be posted in any area declared by this chapter to be prohibited to overnight parking and shall have wording similar to the following: "NO OVERNIGHT PARKING NOVEMBER 20TH TO APRIL 20TH, EXCEPT FOR EMERGENCY PURPOSES. MONO COUNTY CODE CHAPTER 11.25."

11.25.040 - Penalties.¶
Any person violating this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction and subject to a fine, and late payment penalties if applicable, in those amounts set forth by resolution adopted by the board of supervisors. Each calendar day that a vehicle is left parked or standing in an area prohibited for parking by this chapter shall be considered a separate violation.
