1.10.010 - Limitation of interim appointment.¶
Pursuant to the authority granted by Government Code Section 36512.2, any person appointed to fill a vacancy on the city council shall hold office only until the date of a special election to fill the remainder of the term.

1.10.020 - Time for special election.¶
Such election shall be held on the date of the next regularly scheduled election to be held throughout the city not less than ninety days from the call of the special election, unless such an election date falls more than two hundred seventy days from the call of the special election, in which case the special election shall be held on the next regularly established election date not less than ninety days from the call of the special election and subject to the provisions of Section 1.10.030.

1.10.030 - Election consolidated with another agency.¶
An election to fill a vacancy which is consolidated with an election by another agency shall be called in sufficient time to meet the nomination period deadlines required when conducting a consolidated election.
