Chapter 18.58 — OS-2 SECONDARY OPEN SPACE DISTRICT

§ 18.58.010. Regulations generally.

The provisions of Chapter 18.04 , 18.08 , 18.72 and 18.76 are made applicable to all OS-2 districts, subject to the specific provisions of the sections set out in this chapter. (Ord. 946 § 2 (part), 1981)

§ 18.58.020. Applicability.

The OS-2 secondary open space district regulations are included in the zoning ordinance to achieve the following purposes:

  • (a) To set aside and protect those areas where open space is generated as a byproduct of another use;

  • (b) To encourage the development of associated open space;

  • (c) To protect areas important for production of resources;

  • (d) To meet the criteria set forth in the open space and conservation element of the general plan. (Ord. 946 § 2 (part), 1981)

§ 18.58.030. Permitted uses.

Land may be used in the OS-2 district for secondary open space uses as provided in the open space use table, Section 18.54.030 .

§ 18.58.040. Use permits.

Those uses so indicated in the open space use table, Section 18.54.030 , are permitted in the OS-2 district subject to the issuance of a conditional use permit by the planning commission. (Ord. 946 § 2 (part), 1981; Ord. 1112 § 67, 1991; Ord. 1149 § 77, 1992)

§ 18.58.060. Parking requirements.

The parking requirements for uses permitted in the OS-2 district are set forth in Chapter 18.60 . (Ord. 946 § 2 (part), 1981)

§ 18.58.070. Tree removal requirements.

The tree removal equipment in an OS-2 district is as follows: Removal of live trees and dead wood shall be allowed upon granting of a tree removal permit by the city services department. (Ord. 946 § 2 (part), 1981; Ord. 1299 § 23, 2005)
