12.28.010 Permit Required To Place Certain Structures On Roads

No person shall place in, under or over any portion of a roadway easement where the road is maintained through a zone of benefit, any driveway, pole, pole line, pipe, pipeline, underground cable, fence, building or any structure or object of any kind, whether or not particularly mentioned herein, without first obtaining an encroachment permit from the public works department. The county engineer is granted the authority to establish reasonable standards of construction as condition to granting of a permit.

12.28.020 Right To Appeal Order Of County Engineer

Any person dissatisfied with an order of the public works department pursuant to the authority granted by this chapter is given the right to appeal the order of the county engineer to the board of supervisors within thirty (30) days after the date of issuance of such order.

12.28.030 Violation--Penalty

Violation of any provision of this chapter shall constitute an infraction and shall be punishable under Chapter 1.20, the general penalty provisions, of this code.
