§ 2.04.010. Meetings—Time and place.¶
Regular meetings of the city council shall be held on the first and third Tuesday of each month in the council chambers at 1001 W. Center Street, Manteca, California, at six p.m.; provided, however, if the first and/or third Tuesday falls after a holiday, the city manager (in conjunction with the city clerk) may adjust and/or set the schedule to have the regular meeting take place on an alternate Tuesday that same month. All regular meetings of the city council shall be adjourned no later than ten p.m., which time is referred to as the normal time of adjournment. No new item of business shall be taken up by the city council after the normal time unless the city council has determined by a majority vote to extend the meeting beyond the normal time. All agenda items not considered at the meeting shall be on the agenda of the next regular meeting unless the city council directs otherwise. Upon being notified that any regular meeting will not be held, the city clerk shall post a notice of cancellation of such meeting as soon as practicable. § 2.04.020. Redevelopment agency duties.¶
The city council finds, determines and declares there is a need for a redevelopment agency to function in the city, and the city council declares itself to be the redevelopment agency for the city.

§ 2.04.030. City council compensation.¶
The law governing council compensation for general law cities is set forth in Government Code Section 36516. The Manteca city council will follow the Government Code guidelines for city council salary compensation limits.
