Inglewood Municipal Code § 2-270 Rental Charges

The following charges shall be levied for rental of the facilities listed below:

(a) City Hall Community Rooms — for each one hour period (minimum rental of two hours):

(1) Resident groups — $20/hr.

(2) Non-Resident groups — $40/hr.

(3) Events conducted by profit-making organizations, and events with admission charges, except for charitable fundraising events — $200/hr.

(b) Library Lecture Hall:

(1) Resident groups — $20/hr.

(2) Non-resident groups — $40/hr.

(3) Events conducted by profit-making organizations, and events with admission charges, except for charitable fundraising events — $200/hr.

(4) Refundable damage deposit — $250.

(c) Auditoriums at all recreation centers — for each one-hour period (minimum rental of two hours):

(1) Resident groups — $20/hr.

(2) Resident groups with events with admission charges — $40/hr.

(3) Non-resident groups — $40/hr.

(4) Non-resident groups with events with admission charges — $75/hr.

(5) Refundable damage deposit — $250.

(d) Lobbies and patios at all recreation centers — for each one-hour period (minimum rental of two hours):

(1) Resident groups — $10/hr.

(2) Non-resident groups — $20/hr.

(e) Conference rooms at all recreation centers:

(1) Resident groups — No fee shall be charged.

(2) Non-resident groups — $20/hr.

(3) Non-resident groups with admission charges — $40/hr.

(4) Refundable damage deposit — $250.

(f) Picnic areas at all recreation centers (minimum rental of two hours):

(1) Resident groups — No fee shall be charged.

(2) Non-resident groups — $40/hr.

(3) Over one thousand persons — City Council permission required.

(4) Refundable damage deposit — $250.

(g) Baseball diamonds and athletic fields:

(1) Resident groups — No reservation fee will be charged provided that groups meet eligibility requirements listed in Section 2-270.3.

(2) Non-resident groups — For a minimum of two hours or until the game is finished, but not to exceed three hours, the fee is $20.00/hr.

(3) Tournament play — defined as any series of games that exceeds three-hour maximum period up to a maximum of six hours, the fee is $20/hr.

(4) Refundable damage deposit — $250.

(5) Applications for reservation of baseball diamonds and athletic fields shall be accepted on a first come, first serve basis with priority of use as follows: (i) Programs conducted by Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, (ii) Programs conducted by other City Departments, (iii) Programs conducted by resident groups for youth, senior citizens or the disabled, and (iv) Programs conducted by resident adult groups. To allow for the maximum use of City baseball diamonds and athletic fields by residents, applications for use by non-resident groups will be accepted with strict adherence to the aforementioned priorities.

All applications for use of baseball diamonds and athletic fields must be received no later than three working days prior to the day(s) and hours sought.

(h) Inglewood Playhouse at Vincent Park

(1) Resident groups:

(i) Performances — $25/hour (four-hour minimum, first day; per hour each additional day).

(ii) Rehearsal — $15/hour.

(iii) Clean-up fee — $25 per performance.

(iv) Damage deposit — $250 (refundable).

Additional costs may also be required for lighting and sound technicians; staffing costs for the Playhouse Manager are separate and are based on actual staffing costs and time.

(2) Non-resident groups:

(i) Performances — $50/hour (four-hour minimum, first day; per hour each additional day).

(ii) Rehearsal — $15/hour.

(iii) Clean-up fee — $25 per performance.

(iv) Damage deposit — $250 (refundable).

Additional costs may also be required for lighting and sound technicians; staffing costs for the Playhouse Manager are separate and are based on actual staffing costs and time.

(i) Police Community Centers and District Community Centers (available only to resident groups and organizations):

(1) Resident groups and organizations—No fee shall be charged.

(j) Amphitheater at Edward Vincent Jr. Park—Resident and non-resident groups.

(1) Performances—$200/hr (four-hour minimum for the first day; per hour for each additional day).

(2) Rehearsals—$100/hr.

(3) Facility holding deposit—$1,000 (non-refundable).

(4) Clean-up fee—$250 to $1,000 (variable rates per performance, non-refundable).

(5) Damage deposit—$1,000 (refundable).

(6) City staffing (including, but not limited to, such potential City staff members as police officers, parking enforcement officers, site manager, sound technician, electrician, light technician, and stand-by maintenance personnel)—Cost shall be based on actual staffing costs to the City.

§ 2-270.1. Outdoor Lighting.

All resident and non-resident groups shall pay the City's cost of providing outdoor lighting at all recreation centers at the rate of $10 per hour Monday through Saturday, from dusk until 8:00 p.m. On Monday through Saturday from 8:01 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday from dusk until 8:00 p.m. all resident and non-resident groups shall pay an after-hours rate of $18 per hour. All applicable rental fees still apply.

§ 2-270.2. Personnel Fee. Closed Hours.

All residents and non-resident groups shall pay the City's cost of providing City personnel when required to be present in City facilities during periods when such facilities are closed to the public. Such personnel fees shall be paid in addition to any required reservation and rental fees.

§ 2-270.3. Fee Adjustments for Inflation Costs.

Effective after the enactment of the ordinance codified in this Chapter, October 1st every three years, the rental charges set forth in Sections 2-271, 2-271.1 and 2-271.2 shall be adjusted by the Finance Director by an amount equal to the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, prepared by the Department of Labor, Bureau of Statistics ("the CPI") or a replacement index. Such newly determined amounts shall be rounded to the next higher multiple of $100.
