§ 16.33.000. Adopted by reference.

(a) The International Property Maintenance Code, 2024 Edition, published by the International Code Council is adopted by reference by the City.

(b) At least one copy of said code will be deposited in the office of the Building Official and shall at all times be maintained by the Building Official for use and examination by the public.

§ 16.33.010. Amendment to Section 602—Heating and air conditioning facilities.

Section 602 of the International Property Maintenance Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

  1. Heating and Air Conditioning Facilities.

Section 602.1 of the International Property Maintenance Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

602.1 Facilities Required. Heating and Air Conditioning Facilities shall be provided in structures as required by this section.

Section 602.2 of the International Property Maintenance Code is hereby amended to add the following sentence at the end of the section:

Dwelling shall be provided with air conditioning facilities at all times, capable of maintaining a maximum temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit in all habitable spaces.

Section 602.3.1 shall be added to the International Property Maintenance Code to read as follows.

602.3.1 Every owner or operator of any building who rents, leases, or lets one or more dwelling units or sleeping units shall supply air conditioning at all times, capable of maintaining a maximum of 78 degrees Fahrenheit in all habitable spaces.
