3.56.010 - Statement of intent.

The county of Imperial declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the state of California under the provisions of Chapter 1 of Title 4, of Part 4 of the California Penal Code.

3.56.020 - Acceptance of responsibility.

Pursuant to Section 13522 of Chapter 1 of Title 4 of Part 4 of the California Penal Code, the county of Imperial will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.; hereinafter the "Commission").

3.56.030 - Training standards for public safety dispatchers.

A. The Imperial County board of supervisors declares it accepts the requirements of subsection (c) of Section 13510 of Chapter 1 of Title 4 of Part 4 of the California Penal Code, and will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the Commission for local public safety dispatchers.

B. The Imperial County board of supervisors will adhere to the requirements of Section 13512 of Chapter 1 of Title 4 of Part 4 of the California Penal Code which provides that the Commission and its representatives may make such inquiries as deemed appropriate by the Commission to ascertain that Imperial County public safety dispatcher personnel adhere to standards for selection and training established by the Commission.
