9.16.010 - Discharge of firearms.¶
From and after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, it shall be unlawful and is prohibited for any person to discharge any kind of firearm within the City of Huron, including but not restrictive to, the discharge of any air rifle, pistol or other weapon operated or controlled by means of air compression or plunger; provided, however, that this chapter shall not prohibit the discharge of any firearm in defense of life or property in those cases which are allowed by the laws of the State of California; and provided further that whenever the city council of the City of Huron deems it proper to grant a permit to any person, firm, association or corporation to discharge firearms within the City, such council may so do, in which permit the council shall designate the particular place in the City where such discharge is or will be allowed and the period of time which such permit shall last, and shall also therein designate the purposes for which such discharge of firearms is granted.

9.16.020 - Violation—Penalty.¶
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not more than three hundred dollars ($300.00), or by imprisonment for a period of not more than ninety (90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
