2.16.010 - Findings.

The city council has determined that there is a community need for a redevelopment agency in the City of Huron and does so declare that there is a need for a redevelopment agency to function within the City of Huron pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 33300 et. seq.

2.16.020 - Agency established.

The city council declares itself to be the redevelopment agency of the City of Huron pursuant to Section 33200 of the Health and Safety Code and finds that such action will serve the public interest and promote the public safety and welfare in an effective manner. The city council further declares that all of the rights, powers, duties, privileges and immunities of the Community Redevelopment Law are vested in the city council.

2.16.030 - Designated.

The redevelopment agency created herein is designated as "The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Huron."

2.16.040 - Compensation.

Inasmuch as the population of the City of Huron is less than two hundred thousand (200,000), compensation of the members of the redevelopment agency is established pursuant to Section 33114.5 of the Health and Safety Code, as such section may be amended from time to time. Provided, however, that no members shall receive their actual and necessary expenses incurred in the discharge of their duties.
