2.12.010 - Established.

In conformity with the laws of the State of California, it is established the city planning commission of the City of Huron, which commission shall consist of five members who shall be appointed by the mayor of the City of Huron with the approval of the city council. All candidates or potential appointed members must reside in the City limits of the City of Huron and only one domicile residence is allowed.

2.12.020 - Terms.

The terms of office of the members of the city planning commission shall be for four years, provided, however, to members of the first city planning commission they shall be appointed as follows: two for one year; one for two years; one for three years, and one for four years. Their successors shall be appointed for four-year terms; provided, however any unexpired term shall be filled by appointment by the mayor of the City of Huron for the unexpired term with the approval of the city council.

2.12.030 - Duties.

The duties of the city planning commission of the City of Huron shall be the duties established by the laws of the State of California and such additional duties as may be lawfully prescribed by the city council of the City of Huron.
