2.10.005 - Offices consolidated.¶
Pursuant to the authority vested in the board of supervisors by virtue of Section 14 of the Fresno County Charter, the duties of the county offices of assessor and recorder, respectively, are consolidated into one office to be known as assessor-recorder of the county; the duties of which, including those performed in ex officio capacity, shall be performed by one person elected to such office in the manner prescribed by law. Whenever this code prescribes the recording by or recording in the office of the "clerk-recorder" or "county recorder" and whenever the term "assessor" or "recorder" appear in this code, it shall be construed to mean assessor-recorder.
