2.15.010 - Department created.¶
There is created a department of the county, which department shall be known and designated as the department of child support services, hereinafter in this chapter referred to as the "department."

2.15.020 - Director of department of child support services.¶
The department shall be under the direction and management of a director of department of child support services, hereinafter referred to in this chapter as the "director," who shall be a county officer and department head. The director shall appoint all employees of the department.

2.15.030 - General duties.¶
The director shall be responsible for promptly and effectively establishing, modifying, and enforcing child support obligations, including medical support, enforcing spousal support orders established by a court of competent jurisdiction, and determining paternity in a case of a child born out of wedlock. The director shall also refer all cases requiring criminal enforcement services to the district attorney.

2.15.040 - Duties of director of department of child support services.¶
The director's powers and duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
A. All duties prescribed by state law, county charter, county ordinance and the board of supervisors;
B. Appointment of all employees of the department and the keeping of such personnel records as may be prescribed by the county personnel and pay policies;
C. Budgeting and plying consultation with the county administrative officer or designee for the department's operations, including facility requirements;
D. Responsible for the performance of child support enforcement activities required by law and regulation in a manner prescribed by the State Department of Child Support Services;
E. Oversight and supervision of the Title IV-D operations of the department;
F. Responsible for reporting to and responding to the State Director on all aspects of the child support program.
