4-3.101 - Adoption of the Uniform Fire Code.¶
For the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire, hazardous materials or explosion, that certain Code and Standards know as the Uniform Fire Code, and the Uniform Fire Code Standards, published by the International Fire Code Institute, being particularly the 1994 editions thereof and the whole thereof, save and except such portions as are hereafter deleted, modified or amended by section of the ordinance codified in this section three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk, one of the three (3) copies of the Fire Code may be kept in file in the office of the Building Official.

4-3.102 - Definitions.¶
For the purposes of this article, unless otherwise apparent from the context, certain words and phrases used in this article and in said Fire Code are defined as follows:
(a) "Building Chief" shall mean the County Health Officer and his deputies.
(b) "Building Official" shall mean the City Superintendent and any assistant or any employee of his office designated by him as a building official.
(c) "City" shall mean the City of Fowler.
(d) "City Attorney" shall mean the City Attorney of the City of Fowler.
(e) "Construction" shall mean and include construction, erection, enlargement, alteration, conversion, or movement.
(f) "Municipality" shall mean the City of Fowler.

4-3.103 - Administration.¶
The provisions of this article and said Fire Code shall be administered by the office of the City Superintendent and the personnel provided therefor from time to time by the City Superintendent and the City.

4-3.104 - Violations—Penalties.¶
Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with any provision of said Fire Code or this article, or who shall construct any building or structure, or cause the same to be done, contrary to or in violation of any of the provisions of this article or said Fire Code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable as set forth in Chapter 2 of Title 1 of this Code.
Each such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day, or portion thereof, during which any violation of any provision of this article or said Fire Code is committed, continued, or permitted.
The provisions of this article and said Fire Code may also be enforced by an injunction issued by the Superior Court upon a suit of the City or of the owner or person in possession of any real property affected by such violation or prospective violation. Such method of enforcement shall be cumulative and shall in no way affect the penal provisions of this section.

4-3.105 - Additions.¶
In addition to the Uniform Fire Code, 1994 Edition, published by the International Fire Code Institute, all Appendix Chapters thereof or within the 1994 Uniform Fire Code shall be enforceable.
