Sec. 29-206. - Equipment.

Every ambulance carrier shall equip all ambulances with two stretchers, oxygen and first aid kits, all of which shall be prescribed by the bureau.

Sec. 29-207. - Drivers and attendants—Generally.

No ambulance carrier shall operate or maintain any vehicle with a crew of less than two persons, one of whom shall be a qualified driver holding an unexpired permit issued under the provisions of this chapter. The other member of each such crew shall have had special experience or instructions in proper methods in moving and handling the sick and injured and first aid treatment. Each member of each of such crews shall meet and comply with the regulations promulgated and adopted by the bureau and the health officer, and shall have obtained a certificate from the health officer that he is sufficiently proficient.

Sec. 29-208. - Same—Physical examination.

(a)

All ambulance drivers shall obtain a physical examination at the time of employment and every two years thereafter, and such physicals shall be in accordance with the regulations of the department of motor vehicle for ambulance drivers. A copy of the results and findings of such physical examinations shall be filed with the bureau of franchises.

(b)

All attendants, at the time of employment, shall obtain a physical examination from the county health officer or from a private physician. Medical examination report form BF7 of the bureau of franchises shall be used for such examination and shall indicate whether or not the applicant is suffering from any loathsome, contagious, chronic or incurable disease of a pernicious character or any physical disability and shall be filed with the bureau of franchises.

Sec. 29-209. - Display of rates.

Every vehicle used or operated under this article shall at all times have displayed therein, in a location and a manner approved by the bureau, the rates to be charged for such services, which rates shall always be visible to the patient being transported.

Sec. 29-210. - Hours of operation.

The franchised ambulance company shall operate 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and have sufficient ambulances in service at all times, with additional units that can be called into service as required.
