Sec. 22-1. - Statement of desire to receive aid from state.

The city declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the state under the provisions of Penal Code tit. 4, pt. 4, ch. 1 (§ 13500 et seq.).

Sec. 22-2. - Adherence to state standards in recruitment and training.

Pursuant to Penal Code §§ 13510(c) and 13522, the city, while receiving aid from the state pursuant to chapter 1, will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the state commission on peace officer standards and training.

Sec. 22-3. - Uniform.

The uniform of the members of the police department is hereby prescribed to be of a navy blue color, and shall be of such type, style and design, shall consist of such articles of wearing apparel and shall consist of such insignia as shall be prescribed by ordinance, and, in the absence of ordinance provisions, as shall be prescribed by the chief of police of the city police department subject to the approval of the city council.

Sec. 22-4. - Police capital facilities fee on new or expanded development.

All new development or improvement of real property within the limits of the city shall be subject to the imposition of fees for police capital facilities as provided for in section 5-8.
