Firebaugh Municipal Code § 8-5 Wildland-Urban Interface Code

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 50022.2 of the Government Code of the State of California, the City Council of the City of Firebaugh does hereby adopt by specific reference thereto and incorporation herein by said reference, the provisions, rules, and regulations specified and set forth in the California Wildland-Urban Interface Code, 2025 Edition, (Part 7 of Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations), based on the 2024 International Wildland-Urban Interface Code as published by the International Code Council, together with Appendices Chapters and subsequent additions and editions thereto, adopted by the California Building Standards Commission, and said code is hereby adopted by the Council as the Wildland-Urban Interface Code of the City of Firebaugh, for all intents and purposes and to the same effect as if each and every section, paragraph, subparagraph, word, phrase or clause contained therein were fully set forth herein. Any changes made to the Wildland-Urban Interface Code by the California Building Standards Commission applicable to the City of Firebaugh, including new editions, shall be deemed automatically incorporated herein without further action by the City Council. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of the said Wildland-Urban Interface Code is, for any reason, held to be unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of said code. The City Council hereby declares it would have passed each section, clause, or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses and phrases be declared unconstitutional, except as said code is specifically changed in this Section 8-11. The said Wildland-Urban Interface Code shall be designated as Section 8-5 of Chapter 8 of the Firebaugh City Code.

One copy of said California Wildland-Urban Interface Code has been deposited and is on file in the office of the city clerk for use and examination by the public.
