9.16.010 - Definition.¶
For the purpose of this chapter, "firearm" includes both singular and plural, and includes any rifle, shotgun, airgun, BB gun, sling shot, crossbow, bow and arrow, or any other instrument for discharging projectiles capable of doing bodily harm.

9.16.020 - Unlawful acts.¶
Except as provided in Section 9.16.030, it is unlawful for any person to discharge any firearm within or into any portion of the city.

9.16.030 - Nonapplicability of chapter.¶
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to any public officer in the lawful discharge of his duties or to any person necessarily acting in the lawful defense of persons or property or to the premises of any shooting gallery, practice range, skeet field, archery range or other similar place conducted at a fixed location and with respect to which adequate safeguard has been provided to protect person and property from injury.

9.16.040 - Violation—Penalty.¶
Violation of this chapter shall constitute a misdemeanor, and shall be punishable as set out in Chapter 1.12 of this code.
