Sec. 3.30.010. - Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is to provide a procedure for, and collect charges fixed pursuant to Government Code § 25215.5 on the tax roll in the same manner and at the same time as general ad valorem property taxes are collected as provided in this title, except that such charges shall not be imposed upon a Federal or State governmental agency or another local agency.

Sec. 3.30.020. - Annual report.

A. The County department that is responsible for administering the Zone of Benefit program funded by a charge under this chapter, shall annually prepare and submit to the Board of Supervisors a written report. That report shall contain a description of each parcel of real property receiving the particular extended service and the amount of the charge for each parcel for such year computed in conformity with the procedure set forth in this chapter authorizing collection of such charges on the tax roll.

B. The County department that prepares the annual report under Subsection A shall present that report to the Board of Supervisors at a regular meeting. The Board may confirm the receipt of that report.

Sec. 3.30.040. - Collection of charges.

The charges set forth in the report, as confirmed, shall appear as a separate item on the tax bill and shall be collected at the same time and in the same manner as ordinary County ad valorem property taxes are collected and shall be subject to the same penalties and the same procedure and sale in case of delinquency as provided for such taxes as provided in Government Code § 25215.5 as amended from time to time.

Sec. 3.30.050. - Snow removal charges in certain unincorporated area.

The procedure to determine the amount of, and provide for collection of, charges for the purpose of providing equipment and maintenance of equipment for snow removal services generally in the unincorporated portion of County Service Area No. 3 shall be according to the procedure set forth in this chapter as from time to time amended.
