Sec. 2.15.010. - Authority and appointment of office.

The office of the city treasurer is established pursuant to Government Code § 36501. The city treasurer shall be appointed by the city manager. The city manager may appoint himself as the city treasurer.

Sec. 2.15.020. - Compensation.

The city treasurer shall receive such compensation and expense allowance as the city council shall from time to time determine, and such compensation shall be a proper charge against such funds of the city as the city council shall designate.

Sec. 2.15.030. - Functions.

The city treasurer shall perform such duties as are prescribed by Government Code §§ 41001—41007 and by any other provisions of law applicable to deposit, investment and safekeeping of public funds of the city.
