§ 2.56.010. Authority of City Council to provide bus transportation.¶
Pursuant to the authority set forth in California Government Code Section 39732, the City Council may operate or provide for the operation of a municipal transit line to provide both intercity and intracity bus transportation for its residents.

§ 2.56.020. Routes, schedules and tariffs.¶
The City Council shall, from time to time, by resolution, establish the routes, schedules and tariffs to be used by any such municipal line, and no other route, schedule or tariff may be used or employed by such municipal transit line without prior approval of the City Council expressed by resolution.

§ 2.56.030. Bond of employees.¶
All personnel employed by the City to drive such buses or collect money for such municipal transit line shall furnish a corporate surety bond to be approved by the City Attorney in an amount of $5,000, which shall be conditioned on the faithful performance of his or her duties.
