§ 2.12.010. Appointment—Term of office—City Manager may serve as Clerk.¶
The City Council vests in the City Manager its authority to appoint the City Clerk. The City Clerk shall serve at the pleasure and discretion of the City Manager. The City Manager may serve as the City Clerk with the consent of the City Council.

§ 2.12.020. Bond.¶
The City Clerk, upon entry to the duties of office, shall execute a bond to the City in conformity with bonds of public officers and in conformity with the provisions of the California Government Code, relating thereto, in the amount of $5,000. No additional bond hereunder shall be required in the event the office of City Clerk is held by the City Manager.

§ 2.12.030. Filing of applications and payment of fees.¶
Any applications required to be filed with the City or fees required to be paid to the City, pursuant to the provisions of this Code or any other ordinance of the City, shall be filed with or paid to the City Clerk, unless otherwise provided in this Code or any other ordinance of the City.
