UNIFORM CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS

§ 15.40.010. Incorporation by reference.

The 1997 Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings is incorporated herein by reference as though set forth at length subject to any amendments thereto as may be set forth in this chapter.

§ 15.40.020. Administrative Authority.

Wherever the term “Administrative Authority” is used in the 1997 Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings it shall mean the “Building Official of the City of Desert Hot Springs or his or her designee.” (Prior code § 150.022.030)

§ 15.40.030. Board of Appeals (UCADB Section 205.1—Amended).

Section 205.1 of the 1997 Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings is amended as follows:

The Board of Appeals created, described and provided for in Desert Hot Springs Municipal Code Section 15.12.050 shall serve as the appeals body for all appeals relating to the suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction. (Prior code § 150.022.032)

§ 15.40.040. Violations (UCADB Section 203—Adopted).

Section 203 of the 1997 Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings is adopted in full as follows:

Violations. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish, equip, use, occupy or maintain any building or structure or cause or permit the same to be done in violation of this Code.
