§ 13-296. Abandonment of wells.

Any well which has not been produced, or has not been used for subsurface injection into the earth of oil, gas, oil field waste, water or liquid substances for a period of one year preceding the effective date of this chapter [April 29, 1960] shall be permanently and finally

abandoned in strict compliance with the rules and regulations of the Division of Oil and Gas of the State of California, or any regulatory authority having jurisdiction thereof. (Ord. No. 97-11, § 2, 5-5-97)
