10.34.010 - Reckless driving prohibited—Penalty.

Every person who drives a vehicle upon the private property of another which is not subject to the vehicle code, in wilful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property, without prior written authorization therefor from the owner, lessee or other person in legal possession, is guilty of reckless driving, a misdemeanor, and is punishable by imprisonment in the county jail for not less than five days nor more than ninety days, or by fine of not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than two hundred fifty dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

10.34.020 - Reckless driving resulting in injury—Penalty.

Whenever the reckless driving of a vehicle upon the private property of another, as defined in Section 10.34.010, proximately causes bodily injury to any person, the person driving the vehicle is guilty of a misdemeanor and is punishable by imprisonment in the county jail for not less than thirty days nor more than six months, or by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

10.34.030 - Speed contests, exhibitions of speed and excessive acceleration prohibited—Penalty.

Every person engaging in or aiding or abetting any motor vehicle speed contest or motor vehicle exhibition of speed, or accelerating a motor vehicle so as to cause audible noise by tire friction on pavement or to cause the vehicle tires to leave skid marks upon the pavement, on the private property of another, which is not subject to the vehicle code, without prior written authorization therefor from the owner, lessee or other person in legal possession, is guilty of a misdemeanor and is punishable by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not exceeding ten days, or by fine not exceeding one hundred dollars or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and is punishable as such under this chapter.
