70.90.010 Code adopted.¶
The California Fire Code, 2025 Edition, California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 9, as published by the California Building Standards Commission based on the 2024 Edition of the International Fire Code, is adopted and incorporated by reference herein as the City Ire code for the purpose of prescribing regulations in the City of Coronado for safeguarding life and property from Ire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises and for the construction, extension, repair, alteration, or removal of Ire protection systems or related equipment within this jurisdiction. 70.90.030 Amendments.¶
Section 202 of Chapter 2 of the CFC is hereby amended to change the deInition of “Ireworks” to read as follows:
FIREWORKS. Fireworks shall mean any composition or device for the purpose of producing a visible or audible eLect for entertainment purposes by combustion, deJagration, or detonation, including “safe and sane Ireworks” as deIned by section 12529 of the California Health and Safety Code, “dangerous Ireworks” as deIned by section 12505 of the California Health and Safety Code, and Ireworks, 1.4G and Ireworks, 1.3G as set forth hereafter.

70.90.040 Permit fees.¶
