The California Existing Building Code, 2025 Edition, California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 10, as published by the California Building Standards Commission based on the 2024 Edition of the International Existing Building Code, is adopted and incorporated by reference herein as the City existing building code for the purpose of prescribing regulations in the City of Coronado for promoting public safety and welfare by reducing the risk of death or injury that may result from the eLects of earthquakes and other hazards on existing buildings within this jurisdiction.
