Citrus Heights Municipal Code Div. 2 Private Parking Facilities

The city council, pursuant to the authority granted by Vehicle Code § 21107.8 and subject to the conditions and limitations specified in section 94-307, finds that the following privately owned and maintained off-street parking facilities are generally held open for public use. As provided in Vehicle Code §§ 21107.8, 22350, 22507.8, 23103 and 23109 are hereby made applicable to such parking facilities. Where applicable, associated privately owned and maintained access and perimeter roads shall be considered as part of such parking facilities:

(1) Sunrise Mall, bounded on the northeast by Sunrise Vista Drive, on the southeast and south by the perimeter road, on the west by Sunrise Boulevard, and on the north by Greenback Lane.

(2) Birdcage Walk, bounded on the east by Sunrise Boulevard, on the south by Toucan Avenue, on the west by Birdcage Street, and on the north by Greenback Lane.

(3) Madison Mall Shopping Center, bounded on the north by Madison Avenue, on the east by Hazel Avenue, on the south by the fenced property line, and on the west by the fenced property line.

Section 94-306 shall not apply to any privately owned and maintained off-street parking facility unless the owner or operator of such facility has caused to be posted in a conspicuous place at each entrance to such a facility a notice not less than 17 by 22 inches in size with lettering not less than one inch in height, to the effect that such off-street parking facility is subject to public traffic regulations and control.
