12.24.010 - City parks—Designation and hours of operation.¶
A. "City parks" means all parks of the city of Chowchilla within the city limits.
B. All city parks, shall be closed to all persons except for city employees in the exercise of their duties of employment between the hours of ten p.m. and seven a.m. of each day.
C. All other city parks, wherever located within the city limits of the city of Chowchilla shall maintain the hours of operation as set forth in subsection B hereinabove.
D. Permitted events may have extended or alternative hours of operation as provided in the applicable permit.
E. The city council may adopt by resolution additional rules and regulations as deemed necessary.

12.24.020 - City parks—Posting of hours.¶
All city parks shall be posted with notices advising the public of the time when said parks shall be closed and the time when the parks shall be reopened.

12.24.030 - City parks—Violation closing hours deemed misdemeanor—Penalty.¶
Any person in, on or within any city park at the time or times said city park is closed, as specified in Section 12.24.010, is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction, shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars or confined in the county jail for not more than six months. Said punishment shall be either fine, imprisonment, or both.

12.24.040 - City parks—Alcoholic beverages prohibited.¶
It is unlawful for any person to drink, possess, carry, transfer or sell to any other person alcoholic beverages of any kind in, on or within any city park, except as authorized by written permit issued by the designated city department as designated by Resolution. The city administrator may refer such permits to the city council prior to issuance as designated by permit policies.

12.24.050 - Penalty for alcoholic beverage violation.¶
Any person who drinks, possesses, carries or transfers to any other person alcoholic beverages of any kind while in, on or placing himself within said city parks is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars or confined in the county jail for not more than six months. Said punishment shall be either fine, imprisonment, or both.
