Chino Hills Municipal Code Ch. 2.26 Department Directors

For purposes of this code including, but not limited to this chapter and Section 3.18.060 of this code, the term "Department Director" and "Department Head" means one of the following:

Assistant City Manager,

City Clerk, established in Section 2.12,

Community Services Director,

Community Development Director,

Finance Director, established in Chapter 2.24, and

Public Works Director.

The Department Director, by letter or electronic communication filed with the City Clerk's Office, may designate a qualified City administrative officer to serve as Acting Department Director and exercise the powers and perform the duties of the corresponding Department Director during any temporary absence or disability of the Department Director. This authorization includes, but is not limited to, the authority of Department Directors to execute certain contracts in accordance with Government Code Section 40602, as set forth in Section 3.18.060 of this code. The City Manager may revoke the designation at will and/or make alternate appointments.
