8.04.010 - Consolidation with county health department.¶
The governmental function of public health of the city is consolidated with and transferred to the health department of the county of Santa Barbara, all pursuant to the authority therefor as provided in Sections 476, 480, 481 and 482 of the Health and Safety Code of the state of California.

8.04.020 - Enforcement by county authorized.¶
All ordinances and codes, relating to public health of this city, shall be observed and enforced by the health department of the county of Santa Barbara and the county health officer.

8.04.030 - Contract with county for extra services authorized.¶
The city council may, from time to time, during the period during which this title is in force and effect, contract with the board of supervisors of Santa Barbara County for the performance of any additional public health service by the health officer of Santa Barbara County as may be deemed necessary and appropriate for the maintaining of such standards of public health observance and enforcement for the people of this city, as may be recommended by the board of health of the city or required by the city council.
