5101.1 Scope. The provisions of this chapter, the California

Building Code and NFPA 30B shall apply to the manufacturing, storage and display of aerosol products, aerosol cooking spray products and plastic aerosol 3 products. Manufacturing of aerosol products, aerosol cooking spray products and plastic aerosol 3 products using hazardous materials shall also comply with Chapter 50.

5101.2 Permit required. Permits shall be required as set

forth in Section 105.5.

5101.3 Safety Data Sheets.

Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information for aerosol products displayed shall be kept on the premises at an approved location.

5101.4 Containers. Metal aerosol containers shall be limited

to a maximum size of 33.8 fluid ounces (1000 ml). Plastic aerosol containers shall be limited to a maximum of 4 fluid ounces (118 ml) except as provided in Sections 5104.1.1 and 5104.1.2. Glass aerosol containers shall be limited to a maximum of 4 fluid ounces (118 ml).
